Description

All the style of the original but with additional functionality! Fully independently adjustable saddles and now a top-load stringing option!
This bridge is designed as an upgrade/replacement for the classic Fender 2-saddle bridge fitted to ’50s Precision/Telecaster basses. Unlike the original this has independently adjustable saddles allowing the required height and intonation to be set correctly for each string.
The string spacing is 19mm and the 3 mounting screw holes are 20mm apart so it should be a good retrofit for any Fender. Other models may need additional holes drilled.
The base plate measures approximately 41 x 83mm and is made of 2mm mirror-finish, Stainless Steel. The saddles themselves are brass with chromed screws.

This is an outstanding upgrade to any two saddle early 50’s P-Bass. Having four individual string saddles makes it way easier to set the intonation on each string as well as string height. They did a great job retaining the vintage look of the original bridge. I installed this on my Fender Sting Signature P-Bass. My only complaint is they should provide a set of longer adjustment screws for setting the intonation. The screws were too short for me to properly adjust the intonation for the D and G strings. I had to use longer screws I had from an old bridge.

Very happy with this purchase. Ordered this item to replace a 2-saddle bridge that came on my Fender made in Japan Traditional Original Precision Bass. The install was easy (fit all the original holes) and this bridge fixed the intonation issues I was having with the original, while keeping the vintage esthetic.

I bought one of these to fit to my Fender custom shop 52 precision bass because of intonation issues with the standard 2 saddle bridge that came on the bass. I tend to play above the 12th fret now and again and it just didn’t sound spot on.
It took me about 40 mins to fit and set up the new bridge and the difference is significant. It also has the added benefit of centering the strings over the pole pieces of the pickup and the spaces between all the strings are consistent. With the original bridge the space between the A and D strings was slightly greater that the spaces between the E and A and the D and G.
I have gigged this bass several times since fitting the bridge and it plays beautifully.
Added bonus is having the option to either wring through the body or over the top of the bridge. I play heavier than average strings and the E string is difficult to string through the body and the windings tend to pull apart due to the sharp angle over the bridge from the hole.
I am very impressed with the quality and value for money. I will definitely buy other products from Retrovibe in the future.
