Description

This R3K bass is short scale and based on a combination of Telecaster and Rickenbacker 3000 basses.
The bodies I use for this model are new.

The bolt-on maple neck has a rosewood fretboard with 20 medium frets and is finished in a natural satin.
It is equipped with my Ultralite tuners (it has little or no neck dive) and 17.5mm bridge and has my Higain pickup and VT controls giving a great range of tones.
It weighs in at around 7.4lbs, which means you can play for longer without tiring.

The bodies I use for these are from brand new donor guitars so you may notice that there are 3 screw holes from the Tele pickguard which are not covered by the R3K pickguard. I don’t do spray paint here so I can either brush a little paint into the holes or pop in some chrome screws. Let me know which you’d prefer.

Strung with a brand new set of 45, 65, 85, 105 short scale strings.

It sounds just as you would expect!
