Description
This amber Route’51 bass is medium (32″) scale and based on early Precision basses with a few modern contours such as forearm cut, belly cut shaped heel
A while back I commissioned Mark Lamacq of Lamacq Guitars UK to build me a limited run of 5 sets of bodies and necks for these UK made Route’51 basses. There is only one of these in this stunning amber finish. I held it back because the the neck pocket was a little loose but I have fitted a small shim and can confirm that the joint is good, but for this reason and because there are some tiny blemishes in the satin finish I am offering it at a discounted price.
The bass is fitted with my custom Route’51 bridge and pickup with Hipshot tuners and ferrules. It is a lovely player and sounds superb with the single coil 8.2k pickup.
The body is solid, 2-piece ash and the bass weighs in at around 8.6lbs
There will not be another like this!
